They had already become a Blazer Boat dealer in 201,2 so when the opportunity came to obtain a Mercury dealership and move back to Van Buren, they took it. Along with a great team of employees, Holt Sales continues to grow.

Today's Business Spotlight is The Carter County Health Center!
The Carter County Health Center would like to ask you to help participate in this community survey that will help provide a comprehensive report on our community's Internet broadband needs. Link: https://tinyurl.com/MoBroadband-Survey
The Health Center provides services like: women’s wellness exams, pregnancy testing/counseling, STD/STI testing and treatment, WIC services, Lab draws, Communicable Disease Investigation, Health Education, Covid testing, Immunizations, Safe Sleep Education, Community Diaper Program, Food Service and Lodging Inspections, Vital Records, and car Seat Safety Inspections.
Meet the Team:
Administrator: Michelle Walker RN, BSN - Michelle has worked at the Carter County Health Center since 2013, and was appointed to the role of Administrator in 2018. She has completed her Masters Degree in Public Health and was recently named Missouri Center For Public Health Excellence (MOCPHE) “Change Manager of the Year”.
Assistant Administrator: Tracy Chitwood- Tracy began work for CCHC April of 1992, she has worked in many different areas across the health center and has seen numerous changes in public health during her service to the Carter County community. She finds joy in meeting our newborns in the county over her three decades at CCHC.
Clinical Nurse Supervisor: Heaven Gordon RN, BSN - Heaven has worked at the Carter County Health Center since August 2022. Heaven serves as CCHC’s accreditation coordinator, helping ensure our Health Center meets the national quality, accountability, and performance standards. Heaven conducts various outreach programs and health education including the topics: Diabetes, Car Seat Safety, CPR, and Narcan administration.
WIC Coordinator: Kaylee Swyres- Kaylee was born and raised in the Carter county area and has been at CCHC for 5 years starting out as the WIC breastfeeding peer counselor and was promoted to WIC Coordinator this year.

A few fun facts:
Rick and Betty Helvey purchased the jolly cone in December of 2013. In April 2017- The Historic Flood brought in 8 feet of water into their establishment. The Helveys, as well as dedicated employees, worked 13 weeks day in and day out to get this historic staple in our community back up and running.

The Helveys would like you to know that they have met a lot of great people throughout the years of serving our community and visitors, they have enjoyed watching their young workers grow up to become successful adults, and have made many friends throughout their time as business owners!
